I have included fictional assignments to demonstrate my writing, creative and critical thinking and planning skills to protect the privacy of my current and past employers.

As their first communications employee, I created the first ever communications strategy and membership plan for The Centre for Sustainable Transportation (CST).

I also created and implemented  marketing strategies to attract volunteers to various projects, including SafeMiles, OttoCYCLE. These plans used mainstream media and online new media tools. I also marketed directly to the CST’s desired audience by approaching large local businesses (for example, Manitoba Lotteries Corporation), universities and colleges.

I have also planned events and activities while employed with Manitoba Hydro at the Manitoba Electrical Museum and Education Centre.

I was responsible for the Play it Safe tent at the 2008 Teddy Bears’ Picnic. This included attending meetings, recruiting volunteers and a lot of logistical planning, from set up to scheduling to volunteer mementos and thank you cards. I  planned special activities for guests throughout the summer, including a museum game that resulted in record July and August attendance.
